The stories
Bertold, a middle-aged man and father of two teenage daughters, faced asevere hardship after suddenly losing his job, putting him at risk of eviction and jeopardizing his family’s stability. With Christmas approaching and no immediate solutions, he turned to Homes4All on the recommendation of an acquaintance.Working closely with Social Services, Homes4All provided the family with a newly renovated apartment on Via Giachino under a temporary lease.
This new home was both a relief and a turning point: the daughters fell in love with their rooms, and Bertold’s wife began personalizing the space. Soon after moving in, Bertold secured a permanent job, reigniting the family’s sense of stability and even allowing them to dream about buying their own home.
Bertold’s story shows the real impact of Homes4All’s collaboration with city services—creating lasting, dignified solutions that prevent chronic housing emergencies and reduce broader social costs.
Bazizi, a young man of foreign origin, was living in a building on Via Giachino managed by Homes4All. In 2022, he joined the FIS housing support program, designed to help him gain independence, including by renegotiating his lease on more favorable terms. Since the first time, Bazizi expressed a strong desire to build a stable future in Italy and start his own family, challenges complicated by his precarious work situation and the inability to reunite with his fiancée.
By 2024, Bazizi had secured stable employment and married, but the apartment he lived in did not meet the legal requirements for family reunification. Homes4All stepped in, helping the couple find a new home on the private market and providing financial support for the first ten months. Thanks to this guidance and support, Bazizi was able to achieve full independence, and today he lives securely with his family, building the life he had long hoped for.
